Grant Editing Service

  • The Biomedical Research Foundation will use administrative funds to have NIH grants professional edited each cycle. These grants MUST be submitted to NIH through the Biomedical Research Foundation.
  • Editing will consist of more than grammatical corrections. The Foundation has chosen an outside professional editing service (Write Science Right) that uses ad hoc area specific scientists (all with signed confidentiality agreements) with the goal to give each PI a comprehensive review and editing process.
  • A fresh perspective is always advantageous before grant submission.
  • The PI would receive two versions, one with track changes and one clean copy. It would be the PIs’ choice to accept all, some or none of the edited changes.
  • Submission ready versions would need to be submitted to the Foundation office approximately two weeks prior to the grant deadline. One week for the editing process and a second week to give the PI time to process and incorporate the desired changes.
